High security mechanical key locks for safes

There are several technologies of locks with “programmable keys”.

Disc locks have a tubular key for easy installation. Programming is done with an accessory that is placed at the back.

Double bit keyed tumbler locks have different programming processes. This can also be done from the back of the lock or from the outside without any disassembly, using a specific key.

Optional devices allow to know the closed/open position of the bolt (position contact) or to “over-lock” the lock thanks to an electro-mechanical system remotely controlled.

The keys are usually trapped at the opening, making it mandatory to lock the lock to remove the key.
